Wrinkles are a natural occurrence that comes from the aging process. They are due to several factors, including significant sun exposure, natural movements of the face such as smiling and frowning as well as to genetics and smoking. Wrinkles typically occur because of the reduction over time of collagen and elastin in the skin. Treatment of wrinkles can be done by several means including surgical and nonsurgical.
