Photodamage Print E-mail
Photodamage, also known as sun damage, is change that occur to the skin due to exposure to the sun. Early sun damage is not evident on the skin's surface but later, as a person ages. Visible photodamage will appear as wrinkles, age spots, and fine lines. To prevent photodamage use a sunscreen or sunblock of SPF 30 everyday whether or not you're going to be in direct sunlight and regardless of the time of year. Unlike UVB rays that cause the skin to tingle and turn red, UVA rays can't be seen or felt. but are present all year round and they penetrate deeper into the skin and cause 80% of the damage sustained by the skin.
