Dark eye circles Print E-mail
Dark circles under the eye result from the blood underneath the thin skin of the eye coming close to the surface, thus coloring the skin a darker color. This can happen for any number of reasons. Heredity is the most common one, like varicose veins, dark circles under the eyes are inherited. However they can also occur because of rubbing of the eyes due to itchiness and scratching from allergies or eczema. A side effect of some medications causes the blood vessels to dilate causing dark circles. Many times they occur due to fatigue, or as part of the natural aging process. Ingredients such as Arnica and Vitamin K that help with bruising and broken blood vessels are the most effective for this condition.
