| Botox is a drug made from a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Botox is injected directly into the face and works by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves thus making wrinkles in the skin appear to disappear. The effects last about three to four months. |
